In April 2016, a new 4 kW IPG laser cutting machine was commissioned at the NPP RUSMET production facilities.
This equipment allows you to cut sheet metal qualitively:

  • carbon steel up to 20 mm thick
  • stainless steel up to 16 mm thick
  • other types of non-ferrous metals in the range of 8 - 12 mm thick

The size of the working surface of the table is 1500x3000 mm.

Obvious advantages of laser cutting with an ytterbium source of the IPG laser are as follows:

  • Cutting quality remains consistently high with all thicknesses.
  • The minimum size of the bores corresponds to 1/5 of the thickness of the metal.
  • Minimum roughness of the cutting edge.
  • Verticality of the ends.
  • Correspondence of the upper and lower diameters of the bores.
  • High repeatability after laser cutting.
  • Maximum use of metal.
  • Minimal formation of flash or its complete absence.
  • Minimal thermal effect on the metal.

This equipment allows manufacturing complex products up to 20 mm thick without additional machining to face blanks, which reduces order completion time and saves you money.

The most common types of orders are decorative cutting, cutting of small-sized parts, manufacturing of parts for mechanical engineering, products with a precision accuracy of 12 quality class.
